The aerialist wife of daredevil Nik Wallenda breaks her husband’s record as she dangles 300 feet above the raging waters of Niagara Falls using only her teeth.
The act comes on the fifth anniversary of her husband’s famous tightrope walk over a landmark.
Erendira Wallenda, the wife of famed high wire artist Nik Wallenda, completed her own heart-pounding stunt Thursday.
“If a guy can do it, a girl can do it, too,” she said after the stunt.
The aerialist stunned onlookers as she performed the record-breaking feat; telling people afterwards that the stunt was harder than she expected because of the weather.
“It felt amazing. It was a little more windy than I expected it to be, but then I just put myself back in my backyard where I train all the time,” Wallenda said in a press conference following her stunt. “I felt good enough to where I was able to hang by my teeth a second time.”
Her act set a Guinness World Record for height, breaking the record her husband set when he hung from his teeth 250 feet above Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
