9 Shows that feed your K-Pop nostalgia

K-Pop seems to be evolving everyday! As soon as we get settled with our bias group a new bunch of stunning idols enter our lives. Sometimes, we all long for those simple music memories from yesteryear. Today, let’s take a walk down memory lane to revisit just a few shows that feed our occasional K-Pop nostalgia. 

1. Dream High 

Park Jin Young, Miss A’s Bae SuzyIU, T-ara’s Eun Jung , 2PM’s Taecyeon and Woo Young teamed up to bring us the hit musical of 2011. This series was my addiction! Besides the obvious celebrity crushes, this K-drama about students at an arts school achieving their dreams had the most incredible OST ever! You are not living until you have heard the sweet tunes of Dream High.

GOT7′s JB and Jinyoung, 2AM’s Jinwoon, SISTAR’s Hyorin, Ailee and Park Jin Young light up the small screen in this enjoyable sequel to the original. The theme was drastically different from the first series, but the K-drama feels are electric! Plus, you get a glimpse of JB and Jinyoung before they became international superstars! They are still just as adorable.

3. Marry Him If You Dare 

Former Baby V.O.X member Yoon Eun Hye was romanced on-screen by CNBLUE heartthrob Jung Yong Hwa in this K-drama gem. It was past and present idols uniting for a different kind of love story. Who doesn’t want their future self to give them quality love advice? The idols on-screen chemistry was adorable, and I wish these two would collaborate on a single/album in the near future.

4. Heartstrings

Jung Yong Hwa teamed up with his fellow CNBlUE member Kang Min Hyuk for this delightful musical series about students majoring in drastically different music genres who happen to fall in love. Of course, our guys’ love stories are as pure as they come to keep their cherished BOICE happy. You know this is a must see when the lovely Park Shin Hye stars as well!


5. High School – Love On

This is for all you lovable INSPIRITs out there! It seems like its been an eternity since INFINITE made a comeback, right? Reacquaint yourself with a couple of the members in this youth series about a high schooler with a doting guardian angel. It’s time for Woohyun and Sungyeol fans to unite!

6. Cheongdamdong 111

Are you craving more CNBLUEF.T.Island and AOA in your life? Look no further than this wonderful reality series! Not only do you get to relive those memories from the past, you are introduced to talented rookies that are sure to be your new idol bias.

7. Jessica & Krystal

Girls Generation and f(x) fans will love to take a trip down memory lane with the Jung sisters. In this 2014 reality series, viewers were given a glimpse into their idol lives at SM Entertainment, while watching them enjoy downtime with family, friends and fans. You get all the SMTOWN feels with this one.

8. My Lovable Girl

Krystal and INFINITE’s L were in the presence of greatness when they starred alongside their music senior Rain. The K-drama was all about a talent agency CEO falling for a rookie songwriter, who happen’s to be his deceased lover’s sister. However, viewers were in awe for 16 straight hours marveling at the unbelievable K-Pop talents on-screen.

9. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon 

Now that this hit series is in marathon mode, we can focus on another important aspect of Park Bo Young‘s comeback drama. It stars a hot ZE:A member! Park Hyung Sik brought out the fangirl in all of us as we reminisced about his band as we watched his scenes.  No one can forget ZE:A’s “Mazeltov” and “Level Up”.
